I am an Advanced Dancer, but my new boyfriend/girlfriend is a complete beginner. I want to introduce them to Jive and would like to attend with them, is this OK?
You are more than welcome to attend with your new partner. Simply book your partner into the course online and give us a call in the office and we'll work something out. It is important that you do let us know to help us balance the numbers.
I’ve two left feet, will I manage this course?
The great thing about Modern Jive is there is a lot less footwork involved compared to other partner dances. Our teachers break everything down into easy to routines that you’ll pick and remember easily. Jive Nation prides itself on having a warm and welcoming atmosphere were all the students support each others learning, so even if you do get it wrong, it doesn’t matter, just laugh it off and enjoy yourself.
I’ve attended a number of Beginners Classes but want to be sure that I know all the basics, is this course right for me?
Absolutely. You’ll find a number of complete beginners and a number of people who simply want to brush up and improve their confidence. Whatever your motivation or ability, our teachers are skilled to tailor the class for you.
I am under 18 years of age, can I attend?
Under 18s are very welcome, however ocassionally we hold the classes in licensed venues which means we are unable to accommodate anyone under 18. If you are unsure whether the venue allocated to the date you have chosen is a licensed venue we recommend that you call us to check. If the venue is unsuitable we will offer a full refund or transfer to an appropriate course.
I am a lady who is an advance dancer and I want to learn to lead, can I attend this course?
Yes. When booking, please make sure you select the option ‘Leading Lady’ so we make sure we gender balance correctly. If you do not wish to pay by credit card and want to pay by cash on the day, please contact us in the office to let us know you are coming. Also, be sure to let the teacher know on the day.
Do you run this course any where else but London?
Not at present, but if you have a group of more than 5 couples we will happily arrange a class in your local area. Please contact us in the office for more information.
Do you provide this course for private groups?
Yes, please contact us in the office to discuss your personal requirements.
